Victorian Leather Cased Tintype Portrait of Young Gentleman c.1860–1870

An original Victorian cased tintype portrait of a young gentleman, presented in its original embossed leather case with gilt brass mat, floral velvet lining and working brass clasp.

The sitter is dressed in a tailored three-piece suit with bow tie, seated beside a draped table against a painted studio backdrop. The image is beautifully framed by its original ornate gilt brass mat and housed within an attractive leather case featuring embossed floral scrollwork to both the front and back.
